Scared to death of going bankrupt, what can I do, please?

I am unable to work and haven't for you over 9months now due to an injury I sustained a long time ago, also resulting from the same accident I damaged my brain making me depressed almost all of the time, I have been so low, have even considered and attempted suiside a number of times for which I do recieve professional support. I currently owe over �4000, which while I was at work it wasn't too much of a problem but now I am unable to work, this det is impossable to pay. I am going into hospital end of April to see if amputation is an answer but obviously this won't answer my financal delema, I've already taken an over dose due to the problem but I am actually scared to death as to what I can do?
