we would have our own animals slaughtered and usually a place would charge a kill charge and usually 25 to 40 cents per pound to cut and wrap, but you also need to consider hauling it to slaughter and certain cuts of meat you might not want, so weigh out the price difference per pound on purchasing the meat only or purchasing the live animal and cost of killing cutting and wrapping and also you will need to have freezer space or rent a locker at the packing plant
