Any student of science knows that any volume of ice and water will remain at the same weight with very small varying factors of evaporation, atmospheric pressure,etc, In a vessel such as a gallon jar, a line drawn at the surface top of the liquid will remain at the same line even when all the ice is thawed to liquid. The answer is that I think they do not care if they are scientifically correct or not, just so they can alarm people to their agenda in any way they can and the media will not call them out to explain!
