Back to back labour..... is it really painfull?

Hi i was just on google finding out what anterior placenta was. It just means that my placenta is on the front of my bump. While i was researching i found that with the position of my placenta the baby usually lies back to back for the birth position i read that a couple of women said that horrific is not a word that comes close to the pain. So now this has scared the hell out of me. I had a great birth with my first it was only 10hrs long and i didn't tear so now i'm worried that this one will take ages to give birth to and the pain is going to be really bad. My problem is i don't think an epidural will work as i had one with my first and i had a break through and then it just stopped working so if the pain is really bad i'm going to have to suffer it. I would love to know from anyone who has had a back to back birth and how it went. Thanx to all.x
