Need help with research paper?

Im in College level English and my teacher is king us to write a research paper. Right now all we have to do is gather 10 sources and summarize them. We have to have copies of all our sources submitted with our summaries. She wrote "It is expected the MLA format in summaries will be exacting" How do you do MLA format for a summary? And how would you cite the source within the summary?
